Mobile Apps

Some of the module apps I use for educational purposes are Duolingo and Otter Ai. Duolingo is an educational language app. It helps you learn new languages and is very interactive and engaging. It has a wide range of activities, such as speaking, reading, writing, and listening. The wide range of activities helps you develop a well-rounded knowledge of the language. I like Duolingo because of how engaging it is. It is easy to pick back up the next day and continue learning. The activities are short, but at the same time are very educational. Otter Ai is a speech to text app. It records audio and creates a live transcript. I personally use Otter for recording meetings and getting captions to it. Reading along with what someone is saying helps me understand and retain information a lot better than just hearing it. Otter even records the audio so you can go back and listen to it if you missed something from the meeting. Before I found Otter, I would record a meeting as a voice memo on my phone. That was not as helpful, and the recordings get unorganized. Otter is convenient because it sorts recordings by dates, and you can add titles to help you organize them. While most of my online lectures have captions embedded in them, for in person lectures Otter would be very beneficial for me.
